During our summer working out of the Engineers Australia Victoria office, we had some special visitors. Minister Merlino, the Deputy Premier and Education Minister was our first visitor, on 16 December 2015.
Following that, The Hon. Linda Dessau, the Governor of Victoria paid us a visit in our final week at those offices. We showcased all our robotic and computer vision projects.
In June, the Prime Minister’s office accepted Engineers Australia’s invitation to visit our offices and came to see our technology.
We followed that up by visiting the Victorian Minister for Small Business, Innovation & Trade, Minister Phil Dalidakis MP in late June 2016, who said he was eager to support our robots.
I spent the summer working out of the Engineers Australia Victoria office with 20 university students. As a result they put me on the front cover of their Create magazine.

We met with the President of Italy.
We appeared in a few television segments.

And in a few newspaper articles (including with Andrea Bocelli).

Italy is a beautiful country. I enjoyed eating chestnuts, zucchini pasta and fava beans!
Finally, we were on Fox News this month with one of our users Michael Moran in New York City.

I was invited to demonstrate my robots on a QANTAS flight from Sydney to San Francisco, while we flew over the Pacific Ocean. I said yes! My fellow speakers, organised by TEDxSydney were the amazing data scientist Jeremy Howard, experimental physicist Michael Biercuk and entrepreneur Jo Burston. So chuffed to be part of that line-up! I demonstrated Jeva the robotic arm, Teleport the telepresence robot and even used my brain to control Teleport! Check it out below!
